Health, Environment, and Radiation Detection

— A research group in the Department of Health Physics and Diagnotics Sciences at UNLV

Welcome

The group of Health, Environment, and Radiation Detection (HERD) is dedicated to the research in nuclear activation analysis, remote spectra collection, MC simulation of clinic LINACs, and temporal data mining in nuclear decommissioning, radiological survey, and diagnostic sciences. The above fields will lead to collaboration among affiliated hospitals, accelerator manufacturers, and national laboratories.
Research Thrust Areas
1. Radiological Health, Environment, and Radiation Detection.

2. Remote Radiation Spectra Collection System for Nuclear Sciences.

3. Temporal Data Mining in Nuclear Decommissioning, Radiological Survey, and Diagnostic Sciences.
